UniFor supports The World Around

In 2025, UniFor reaffirms its commitment to The World Around, the New York-based non-profit that champions innovative projects and ideas addressing the most urgent challenges of our time—particularly in the fields of architecture, interdisciplinary design, and climate justice. Throughout the year, UniFor will support The World Around at a series of programs hosted in cultural hubs across the globe.

The Annual Summit, now in its sixth edition, will take place at MoMA in New York on April 27th, coinciding with Earth Week. Co-curated by the Emilio Ambasz Institute for the Joint Study of the Built and Natural Environment, the conference—titled ‘The World Around Summit 2025" Architecture's Now, Near, Next’—will feature prominent speakers, including architects Anne Holtrop, Salima Naji, Douglas Cardinal, Liz Diller and Jung Youngsun.

“Our mission is to highlight excellence within our field and foster strong connections between academia, government institutions, business, and culture. But what truly matters to us is breaking down barriers, encouraging the free exchange of ideas and opportunities for everyone.”

- Beatrice Galilee, Founder and Executive Director of The World Around

A second event will take place in Venice during the Architecture Biennale, at the Procuratie Vecchie. In this recently renovated space by David Chipperfield Architects, The World Around will host morning conversations under the theme “Intelligens: Natural. Artificial. Collectiva.” The program will feature influential voices from the worlds of art, culture, and technology.

Always committed to supporting non-profit organizations and fostering long-term partnerships with institutions, foundations, and associations across diverse sectors, UniFor—together with Molteni&C—renews its collaboration with The World Around. This partnership aims to empower architects and designers through the exchange of resources, meaningful dialogue, and collaborative action. The essential role of designers in envisioning solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s workspaces has long been central to UniFor’s mission, across every scale of intervention. By positioning the architect as a primary interlocutor, UniFor continues to translate the demands for identity, flexibility, sociality, and sustainability into built environments

“Our connection with the cultural world is a fundamental part of our identity - t’s deeply rooted in our DNA. These relationships give us with the opportunity to consistently communicate our values, while forging strong and lasting ties with architects, artists, professionals, and institutions. We believe in the value of relationships where vision and intention are aligned - our partners share our passion for culture, in all its forms. These opportunities continuously enrich our knowledge and allow us to grow, both as a company and as individuals.”

- Carlo Molteni, CEO UniFor
