DCA - Panels and Screens

Founded in 1984, Hellman & Friedman is a leading American private equity firm based in San Francisco, New York and London. The UK office was recently moved to the new 17-storey Brunel Building, designed by Fletcher Priest, that overlooks the Grand Union Canal and Paddington Station. UniFor developed partition systems and furnishings, designed according to the specific request of the client.

This unique and evocative context sets the tone for the interior design by Perkins & Will. UniFor supplied a total of 340 square metres of DCA, the partitioning system signed by David Chipperfield, chosen for these spaces with bronze-coloured profiles and double glazing. The high acoustic insulation, critical for the client, has been guaranteed also thanks to the innovative DV-L system (DUST VOICE - LOCK System) developed by UniFor just for this project.
DV-L is a magnetic sound-proofing, dust and air barrier system for sliding and hinged doors. Thanks to DV-L, Hellman & Friedman's private offices were able to benefit from perfect acoustic insulation. The layout, which cover a total of 1,900 square metres, alternates between closed offices, open spaces, meeting rooms, and informal areas. The private offices are characterised by elegant design details, including Naòs shelves with LED lighting. The predominant finish in these environments is oak wood together with champagne-coloured metal. The workspace is completed by an open cupboard and special integrated drawers; the desks in the open plan are organised in clusters, all height-adjustable, and made in the same finishes as the private offices. The same materials have been used for the P4 partition panels.
The meticulous attention to detail combined with the extremely high technical and engineering performance of the products confirm UniFor's expertise in responding to the many project requirements, without neglecting the accurate design that has distinguished its furniture since 1969.
