Following its contribution to the project Cuore – Centre for Studies, Archives and Research, inaugurated in 2024, UniFor once again supports Triennale Milano in the architectural and functional redevelopment of the Palazzo dell’Arte, under the direction of architect Luca Cipelletti.
The intervention involved 2,300 square metres of indoor spaces and 7,300 square metres of outdoor areas, following a renovation approach consistent with Giovanni Muzio’s original 1933 design.
As part of this process, UniFor produced the fixed furnishings designed by the studio AR.CH.IT Luca Cipellettifor Cucina Triennale, the Institution’s new restaurant and café located on the Piano Parco, overlooking the garden.
Designed by AR.CH.IT, the project stands out for the use of high-quality materials and bespoke details, integrated with the architectural language of the building. A key element was the faithful reissue of the original tables designed in 1933 by Gigiotti Zanini, developed in collaboration with the studio and based on drawings preserved in Triennale Milano’s archives. The new tables, featuring a steel frame and HPL top, accommodate up to four people.

TRIENNALE CHAIR
The project also includes a new chair design, the Triennale Chair, conceived by Studio Klass as a contemporary reinterpretation of the building’s historic furnishings.
Made entirely of wood, stackable, functional and essential in design, the chair balances solidity and refinement, and is intended as a lasting presence in public and representative spaces.

Additional custom furnishings designed by Luca Cipelletti include a large oak slatted counter with integrated glass shelving and a concealed door mechanism, six full-height niches equipped with wardrobes, storage units, mirrors and fixed panels, and two cloakrooms with lacquered fronts and pivot doors.
The overall system is marked by formal coherence, acoustic performance, and visual connection to the surrounding landscape.
Completing the project are PRINCIPLES sofas by OMA and a table from LSM’s Andromeda collection with a travertine top, in harmony with the space.
The collaboration between UniFor and Triennale Milano has its origins in the XVIII Triennale in 1992, which featured the iconic Parigi chairs designed by Aldo Rossi. Since then, UniFor has contributed to numerous cultural and exhibition projects, building a long-standing relationship grounded in shared design values and vision.
