On the occasion of the Biennale Architettura 2025, UniFor is present in Venice, supporting the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in the exhibition The Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain by Jean Nouvel, from May 10 to September 14 at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini.

Recognised as one of the official Collateral Events of the Biennale Architettura by curator Carlo Ratti, the exhibition explores the design of the Fondation Cartier’s new Parisian premises by architect Jean Nouvel. A large-scale model, 1:1 scale photographs, video projections, drawings and prototypes guide the visitor through a dynamic and multi-sensory narrative. The installation becomes a space in transformation—an architectural environment shaped by movement, light and creative energy.

Thirty years after the construction of the iconic steel-and-glass building on Boulevard Raspail in Paris—designed by Jean Nouvel and furnished with the original Less series—UniFor once again stands alongside the Fondation Cartier and the architect in this new chapter of collaboration. Originally conceived in 2012 by Jean Nouvel and UniFor, the LessLess tables are reinterpreted here as display structures — elevating the exhibition materials with architectural clarity.

In addition to the future building, the installation revisits significant milestones in Jean Nouvel’s career, including his earlier design for the Fondation Cartier and other landmark museum projects. The interplay between interior space and the Venetian context becomes a recurring theme, reflecting the architect’s distinctive approach. The Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain by Jean Nouvel invites visitors to reflect on architecture as a synthesis of the arts and on the museum as a site of experimentation and transformation.
