In the heart of Paris’s 8th arrondissement, on the elegant Avenue Matignon, stands the new headquarters of AXA, one of the world’s leading insurance groups. AXA entrusted the complete restructuring of its new global headquarters to PCA-STREAM, responsible for both the architecture and interior architecture, with Saguez & Partners contributing to the interior design. Hauteur Libre acted as the project-management firm, while UniFor oversaw the bespoke design and production of all furnishings.

The aim was to embody and support a new approach to work within the AXA group, combining strong corporate identity, functionality, and environmental awareness. The interior design was seamlessly integrated into the existing architectural and technical framework, resulting in a space defined by clarity, coherence, and timelessness.

UniFor was involved from the early stages of the project, collaborating on the executive design and developing fully customized furniture solutions for each functional area, including operational offices, collaborative zones, meeting rooms, IT areas, and executive workstations.

Every element was conceived and crafted to meet specific technical requirements, with a tailored approach that ensured consistency and adaptability across the spaces.

In the open-plan areas, where teamwork is central, flexible modular systems with irregular geometries were designed by Saguez & Partners to enhance collaboration. These include linear workstations for four, six, or eight people, angular desks set at forty-five degrees for five-person groups, and zigzag-shaped "serpentine" layouts that accommodate eight or more users.

One of the most iconic pieces is the “Organic Bench,” a collective workstation defined by a fluid, tactile design and unique geometries that blend practicality with sculptural form. All workstations, single, double, or shared, feature a rational design and natural oak finishes that align with the understated and elegant interior concept developed by the Paris-based studio.

The meeting rooms are equipped with bespoke tables in various formats.

One model, designed for smaller, more intimate rooms, features an asymmetrical configuration: a short rectangular end with rounded edges connects directly to a built-in wall unit. Another model is modular, designed to adapt to diverse layouts with rectangular, elliptical, or round tabletops, allowing maximum flexibility and spatial efficiency.

A key objective of the project was to create a meaningful and representative space, one that fosters a sense of belonging.

In today’s hybrid work landscape, the Avenue Matignon office serves as a physical and symbolic hub: a place conceived to attract new talent, retain top professionals, and strengthen internal connections.

Sustainability was a fundamental principle throughout the design process.

Recycled and upcycled materials were carefully selected by Saguez & Partners, including acoustic panels made from regenerated cotton and 3D-printed components crafted from recycled plastic.
For the meeting tables, the “Really” finish by Kvadrat was chosen, a sustainable surface made from compressed, recycled textiles. The result is a refined and responsible environment that expresses UniFor’s commitment to design excellence, functionality, and environmental awareness.
