A WORKSPACE IN MOTION: UNIFOR AT MILANO DESIGN WEEK 2025

At Milano Design Week 2025, UniFor presents Spring System, the new workstation system designed by Antonio Citterio, and UniArm, the monitor arm family by Alberto and Francesco Meda.

UniFor returns to the operational workspace, introducing solutions that combine functionality, innovation, and sustainability.

The project unfolds within the UniFor showroom, featuring an installation by Antonio Citterio designed to highlight Spring System and UniArm and offer visitors an immersive experience into the company’s expertise on workplace design.

THE INSTALLATION

The UniFor installation, designed by Antonio Citterio, showcases the lightness and dynamic nature of Spring System and UniArm.

At the center of the showroom, a large platform highlights a selection of bench workstations, demonstrating their flexibility and intuitive height adjustment mechanism. Two collaborative robots adjust the desks, illustrating the fluidity of movement, while visitors are invited to test the technology firsthand. Complementing the display are fixed-height tables, adaptable for both operational and meeting spaces, with UniArm monitor arms installed on each workstation—further proof of UniFor’s integrated office solutions.

The three-dimensional wood paneling of the showroom reflects the color palette of the Spring System collection, inspired by A Dictionary of Color Combinations by Sanzo Wada (1883–1967). This carefully curated selection of ivory, red, Antwerp blue, dark green, white, lime green, and orange creates a distinctive exhibition space, merging functionality with a welcoming, home-like aesthetic.

The artistic direction, led by Studio Klass, has developed a custom soundscape, guiding visitors through the technical and experiential aspects of the products. Outside the showroom, on Passeggiata Boris Pasternak, visitors can pause and relax on PRINCIPLES seating, arranged in different configurations to promote social interaction and urban comfort.

Spring System – Desks and Tables

Spring System is a workstation system designed to enhance well-being and ergonomics through height adjustment without electromechanical actuators. The work surface moves solely through human interaction, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

With sustainable materials, formal balance, and a structure that optimizes visual clarity and design flexibility, Spring System provides a cohesive and functional solution for the contemporary office.

"This project is not just a formal evolution but a new way of conceiving the operational workstation."

— Antonio Citterio

UniArm – Monitor Arm System

UniArm is a family of monitor arms that blends mechanical engineering and ergonomics, allowing for smooth and precise adjustments of height, distance, and angle. Designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda, UniArm ensures maximum adaptability, enabling dynamic and personalized workstations tailored to the needs of high-intensity environments.

"A mechanically complex project developed through continuous dialogue between design and engineering."

— Alberto & Francesco Meda
