Régua and Sincro nominated at Compasso d'Oro 2008 Régua, the bookcase for professional environments designed by Álvaro Siza for Unifor, and Sincro, the innovative system of sliding doors and panels developed by Unifor Design, were selected for mention at the 21st edition of the ADI Compasso d'Oro awards. It is a prestigious international recognition, the most important for Italian industrial design, that highlights once again the intense activity of research and development carried out by Unifor in the sphere of the creation and production of highly innovative projects in its sector, on both the formal technological plane. The award ceremony for the 21st edition of the ADI Compasso d'Oro awards was held in the splendid setting of the Reggia di Venaria Reale, during the celebrations for Turin as World Design Capital. On this occasion the exhibition "Tops in Italian Design" was inaugurated, featuring the products that have received the award or been selected for mention. The exhibition, that will remain open until August 31, 2008 illustrates and documents the extraordinary development of Italian industrial design from 1954 to the present, a fascinating story in which Unifor is one of the main players.
