Angelo Mangiarotti is widely considered the great master of architecture and industrial design. An important anthological exhibition of Mangiarotti's work opened Saturday, 12 September, in the city of Mantua, Italy, at the Casa del Mantegna, the prestigious venue that was once the home and studio of Andrea Mantegna.
The exhibition retraces the entire career of one of the great Italian architects of the 20th century, with approximately 80 projects on display, including buildings, design work and sculpture.
Featured are such truly innovative buildings as the "Church of the Mater Misericordiae" in Baranzate, Italy (1957), and the pavilion for the Fiera del Mare exhibition in Genoa (1963), a landmark of modern architecture.
