22 October 2009 through 31 January 2010

This exhibition presents two projects by the photographer Gabriele Basilico

"Milano ritratti di Fabbriche 1978-1980" is an ample series of images creating a visual reconstruction of a little-known landscape, that of the factories at the outskirts of Milan. The photographs are the result of a lengthy investigation that looked at industrial architecture as an emblem of the identity of the city itself.

"Mosca Verticale 2007-2008" is a project born of a desire to document the metamorphosis of the urban landscape of Moscow from an exceptional choice of viewpoints, the tops of Moscow's Seven Sisters. These skyscrapers, metropolitan monuments to Stalinist communism, were built in the mid-1950s and still afford excellent vantage points from which to observe a changing city.

Basilico is one of the masters of contemporary Italian photography, and a well-known international author.
