Eames Collection Monographic exhibition devoted to the designs of Charles and Ray Eames organized by Vitra Unifor Exhibition Area, Corso Matteotti 14, Milan October - December 2002 The recent renovation of the Unifor Exhibition Area in Milan designed by Studio Cerri & Associates (Pierluigi Cerri, Alessandro Colombo), and the simultaneous presence in the Triennal Exhibition of the prestigious traveling exhibition "The work of Charles and Ray Eames: a legacy of invention" organized by the Washington Library of Congress, and the Vitra Design Museum, have provided the opportunity of creating the "Eames Collection", an unprecedented monographic exhibition devoted to the original designs of the Eames husband and wife team, which Vitra (distributed in Italy exclusively by Unifor) has been producing under exclusive license since '57. Aluminium, Plywood, Soft Pad, Wire Chair, Plastic, Lounge Chair, La Chaise… A review of articles which have left their mark in the history of industrial design, presented with extreme simplicity within a neutral, luminous and comfortable environment. The "Eames Collection" exhibition, organized by Studio Cerri & Associates, is a Unifor cultural proposal, achieved in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum.
